The REALTOR® standard

Ethics is more than a checkbox.

NAR’s Code of Ethics, adopted in 1913, sets a professional standard built around honesty, fairness, cooperation, and service to clients and the public.

REALTORS® must complete Code of Ethics training every three years. NAR specifies at least 2 hours and 30 minutes of instructional time and requires training to meet its learning objectives.
